Key Takeaways
Flex, a fintech that offers financial management services to businesses, has announced the launch of the Flex Visa Infinite Business Credit Card.
Flex becomes the first U.S.-based fintech to launch a Visa Infinite Business card and, in doing so, signals to traditional credit card issuers that fintechs can provide serious competition in the business card market.
Flex’s earlier credit card partnership with Mastercard served business users, but its new Visa card raises the bar. While it retains the same flexible repayment options, the new card adds lifestyle perks, upgraded insurance, and expanded travel benefits — features the previous offering didn’t provide.
Zaid Rahman, the CEO and Founder of Flex, said in a press release announcing the new payment offering that the company is proud to bring its customers a card that’s as flexible and sophisticated as they are.
The new Flex card provides business owners with elevated financial experiences, according to the company’s CEO and Founder, Zaid Rahman.
“The Flex Visa Infinite Business card doesn’t just extend flexible working capital, it elevates the entire financial experience for business owners, from how they spend to how they travel, protect purchases, and build long-term value,” Rahman said.
Fintechs Are Here to Stay
CEOs can exaggerate at times when they’re talking about their company and the solutions they offer. But Rahman wasn’t speaking in hyperbole when he referenced the new Flex card’s ability to elevate the “entire financial experience for business owners.”
The card carries particular appeal to jetsetters, offering cardholders access to global airport lounges through Priority Pass, upgrades on luxury hotel stays, and round-the-clock support from Visa Infinite Concierge.
Cardholders can also earn unlimited cash back rewards or points they can redeem for statement credits.
Credit card perks can be great, but they’re often just the icing on the cake. Flex stresses that its new card is but one part of a “fully integrated financial ecosystem.” Along those lines, Flex offers cardholders expense management tools and business banking solutions, including same-day money transfer capabilities and debit cards.
Flex’s comprehensive offerings signal to traditional credit card issuers that fintechs can offer many of the bells and whistles that established banks can.

Tiffani Montez, Principal Analyst at EMARKETER, told us that cards from fintech issuers are “flipping the script on traditional credit.”
“With premium cardholder perks, AI-driven payment workflows, and built-in spend and bill controls, fintechs are delivering the kind of end-to-end experience that legacy issuers have been slow to build — and risk falling behind without,” Montez said.
Though Flex is the first U.S. fintech to offer a Visa Infinite Business card, it likely won’t be the last. Traditional credit card issuers should prepare for other fintechs to enter the credit card arena and offer more solutions oriented toward businesses.
Veronica Fernandez, SVP, Head of Visa Commercial Solutions North America, noted the importance of Visa partnering with fintechs such as Flex.
“The launch of the Flex Visa Infinite Business Credit Card marks a significant advancement in how small and midsize businesses access premium financial solutions,” Fernandez said. “This milestone reflects Visa’s ongoing commitment to innovation and to supporting the growth and success of modern businesses across the country.”
