American Express and other American credit card companies doing business across the pond have new competition. Revolut Business has launched Titan, described as an “ultra-premium corporate card” for business customers in the United Kingdom, according to a press release from Revolut Business.

A Visa card, Titan allows card customers to integrate their expense management, offers travel benefits and lifestyle rewards, and gives cardholders a global data allowance per month.

“Titan is redefining what a corporate card should be. For years, legacy providers have dominated, causing businesses fragmentation between their rewards and efficiency,” said James Gibson, General Manager of Revolut Business.

“We’ve built a product that rewards members with world-class perks, while giving finance teams full control and visibility over every pound spent, so they don’t have to choose. It is the ultimate tool for modern, global businesses.”

Titan Card Benefits

Titan offers business customers expense management tools such as real-time expense tracking and automated receipt matching that can be managed when employees are traveling.

The Titan’s travel benefits include unlimited, free access to more than 600 airport lounges worldwide, travel insurance, and everyday purchase protection that covers delays in travel and lost luggage. Titan cardholders also receive 10GB global data allowance per month in more than 100 countries.

Titan’s lifestyle rewards include annual business subscriptions to The Economist, WeWork, and Perplexity. Titan cardholders also earn RevPoints that can be transferred to a cardholder’s personal Revolut account and redeemed for airline miles, stays, gift cards, and experiences.

Titan charges a monthly subscription fee of 65 pounds (about $80) for each active Titan user. Travel insurance for Titan is covered by Chubb European Group.

How American Express Compares

American Express Business Travel Cards include the Business Platinum Card, which has a $895 annual fee, and the Business Gold Card, which has a $375 annual fee.

The Business Platinum Card comes with benefits such as $600 hotel credit and $200 airline fee credit. Cardholders earn rewards for cruises and on travel through American Express Travel Online. They have access to preferred tickets, American Express concierge services, Escape airport lounges as well as car rental privileges.

Other competitors in the U.K. corporate cards are JPMorgan Chase and Citibank. These U.S. issuers have used rewards and travel perks to attract corporate card customers in the U.K.

Bundled With a Business Financial Platform

In addition to being a corporate card, Titan comes bundled with a business financial platform. It is this platform that allows the card to integrate real-time expense tracking and automated receipt matching and act as a reconciliation tool for company finance teams.

Having such a platform saves businesses the added expense of hiring third-party expense platforms and outside travel management systems. This is one advantage that Titan has over the competition.

Pricing at 65 pounds per month per user (about $80) also sets the Titan apart from traditional credit card users who charge annual fees.

Earlier this year, Revolut Business surpassed $1 billion in annualized revenue and is now the top downloaded business finance app in Europe, according to a company press release.

The Bottom Line

Revolut Business has launched Titan, a premium corporate card for business customers in the United Kingdom. Charging 65 pounds (about $80) per user per month, this Visa card allows customers to integrate expense management.

The Titan also offers travel benefits and lifestyle rewards. In addition, Titan cardholders receive a global data allowance per month.
