Home lender Paramount Residential Mortgage Group, Inc. (PRMG) has entered into a partnership with Mesa to bring a new co-branded credit card into the payments arena that rewards homeowners for mortgage payments.

Many Americans dream of owning a home one day, but buying a house can be one of the most expensive purchases a consumer makes in their lifetime. Companies offering a credit card that helps homeowners save money can attract consumers who are in the market for a new home.

The co-branded card does not charge annual membership fees.

The co-branded card from PRMG and Mesa can make home ownership more affordable for cardholders. PRMG clients who work with one of the company’s loan officers can apply for the card once they close on the purchase of their new house.

Successful applicants will receive a customized Mesa credit card that unlocks rewards. The card does not carry an annual fee.

Kelley Halpin, Mesa’s Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, said in a press release that Mesa’s mission is to bring more affordability to homeownership

“By working with PRMG — a leader in mortgage lending — we’re able to introduce the benefits of the Mesa platform to homeowners at the very start of their journey, helping them save money on their mortgage and home-related expenses from day one,” Halpin said.

Home Expenses Can Lead to Amplified Rewards

Cardholders don’t actually have to pay for their mortgage with the Mesa card to earn its rewards. Consumers disclose the amount of their mortgage when applying for the card, and that figure determines the rewards they are eligible to earn.

Clients of PRMG earn points on eligible purchases they make with the card. Cardholders can access accelerated points by using the card to pay for expenses associated with daycare, home decor and improvement, and utilities.

Consumers can redeem the rewards they’ve accrued for credits on their statement, gift cards, and experiences, including travel opportunities. The card also brings a slew of other benefits to cardholders, such as credits they can use to pay for home upgrades and pet care.

Mortgage Executive Magazine recently released its ranking of the 50 best mortgage companies in the U.S. Paramount Residential Mortgage Group, Inc., which closed more than 25,000 loans in 2024, came in eighth place on the list. That represents an improvement over its prior ranking, which placed PRMG at number 10 among mortgage companies.

Paramount Residential Mortgage Group, Inc. was recently listed among the top mortgage companies in the U.S.

Novel rewards solutions, such as those PRMG is partnering with Mesa to offer, may draw further industry accolades, but they can also help a company stand out in a competitive market. It’s a program that’s sure to attract attention from prospective homeowners.

Kevin Peranio, Chief Lending Officer at PRMG, said in the release that the company is always seeking to add value for its clients.

“Introducing a homeowner loyalty program and co-branded card that directly benefits homeowners gives us a strong competitive edge while deepening customer loyalty in innovative ways,” Peranio said.
