NASCAR fans will soon have a new way to earn cash back on select purchases while gaining early ticket access and exclusive race-day perks.

The new NASCAR-Avant credit card is expected to launch in January 2027 as part of a multiyear agreement between the racing organization and financial technology company Avant.

Beginning Jan. 1, 2027, Avant will become NASCAR’s exclusive co-branded credit card partner in the U.S.

What NASCAR Fans Will Get With the New Card

The card will grant cardholders automatic All-Star status in NASCAR’s Fan Rewards program. Fans currently have to accumulate 3,000 tier points to reach that level, which provides a 10% bonus on reward points earned.

Cardholders will earn 3% cash back on eligible purchases in select spending categories. NASCAR and Avant are also planning exclusive experiences and at-track benefits for cardholders at select races.

“NASCAR fans are among the most passionate and loyal in sports, and this partnership with Avant creates another meaningful way to reward that passion,” Craig Stimmel, SVP and Chief Commercial Officer at NASCAR, said in the release. “This card is designed to bring fans closer to the sport they love while adding value every time they engage with NASCAR.”

The card will also provide early access to tickets. NASCAR and Avant said they will release additional details about the card’s features, rewards, eligibility, application process, and fan experiences closer to launch.

NASCAR’s New Deal Leaves Credit One’s Future Unclear

Motorsports may not attract as many viewers as the NFL, MLB, NBA, or NHL. But the category still outranks professional wrestling and combat sports programming among U.S. internet adults, according to 2026 data from S&P Global Market Intelligence Kagan US Consumer Insights.

That sizable audience helps explain Avant’s interest in the partnership. But the agreement also raises questions about Credit One Bank’s longstanding ties to NASCAR.

Credit One partnered with NASCAR more than 10 years ago. The financial institution currently offers the Credit One Bank NASCAR American Express Card, which gives cardholders unlimited 1% cash back on purchases.

Avant is set to become NASCAR’s exclusive co-branded credit card partner in 2027, leaving the future of Credit One’s NASCAR card and broader partnership unclear.

Credit One, which recently partnered with Shaquille O’Neal to promote one of its credit cards, said it plans to continue investing in the sport.

“We’re incredibly grateful to the fans and cardmembers who have experienced this partnership alongside us,” Credit One said in a statement to Sports Business Journal. “We remain passionate about NASCAR’s athletes and fans and will continue to invest in the sport now and for years to come.”
