The 2024 NFL season is right around the corner! As Americans gear up to watch the games, we want to know which fans will spend the most money to see their favorite team play in person.
To determine how much it will cost NFL fans to attend games this year, we put together the cost of a typical ‘game day experience’ — the price of one ticket, one hotdog, two beers, and parking at each NFL stadium. We also surveyed NFL fans about their plans to attend games this year and asked how much they’re willing to spend.

Raiders, Patriots, and 49ers Among the Most Expensive Tickets in the NFL
In our survey of 800 NFL fans from across the country, 57% of fans surveyed plan to attend an NFL game in person for the 2024 season. Among the 43% of fans who are not planning to attend, 88% say the reason is cost. Other reasons for not attending a game include the distance to stadiums (43%) and not living in the same city as their team (25%).
When it comes to the NFL teams with the most expensive tickets, the Las Vegas Raiders top the list at $168.83 for a general ticket. The San Francisco 49ers rank second at $161.33, followed by the New England Patriots ($142.74) and the Green Bay Packers ($141.48).
The Arizona Cardinals have the least expensive tickets. They are the only NFL team with a ticket price below $100, just $98.54. Following behind the Cardinals are the Buffalo Bills ($101.64) and the Cincinnati Bengals ($101.78).
While some teams’ ticket prices may hold steady from year to year, others have seen a major increase. This may encourage fans to start thinking about saving money before making plans to attend a game. The team with the greatest increase in ticket prices from the 2022 season to the 2023 season is the Washington Commanders, with tickets increasing by $20.80. The Commanders are followed by the Jacksonville Jaguars (+$17.46) and the Los Angeles Chargers (+$17.22).
Cost of NFL Game Day Experiences by Team
It may be no surprise that with one of the highest general ticket prices in the league, the San Francisco 49ers offer the most expensive gameday experience. A ticket, two beers, a hot dog, and parking costs fans $239.66 at Levi’s Stadium.
The Philadelphia Eagles offer the next most expensive gameday experience at $225.01. Eagles’ general tickets cost around $139, but the beer, hot dog, and parking price at Lincoln Financial Field land them in the second spot for the most expensive game day experience.
The Las Vegas Raiders, at $223.80, the Green Bay Packers, at $204.15, and the Dallas Cowboys, at $197.28, also top the list for the most expensive game day experience.
While claiming the top spot for the cheapest ticket, the Arizona Cardinals also offer the most affordable gameday experience at $130.84. The Cardinals are followed by the Cincinnati Bengals at $137.08 and the Atlanta Falcons at $142.60.
NFL Concession Prices
Most fans (88%) say costs impact whether they’ll attend a game. Whether using credit cards or cash, the average fan polled is willing to spend $155 on a ticket to see their team play.
Knowing how much a game day experience will cost at every NFL stadium, we wanted to see which teams have the most and least expensive concessions. The San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints have the most expensive beer at $12. The teams with the cheapest beers, at $5, are the New York Giants, New York Jets, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and the Atlanta Falcons.
“You can stay true to your team while also staying true to your budget! If you really want to go to an NFL game in person, prioritize your expenses, pare down when possible, and save for the tickets,” said CardRates Finance Expert Erica Sandberg. “Because tickets can be so expensive, carefully consider who you want to bring. The whole family? Or just one other person who appreciates the game as much as you do?”
The most expensive NFL hot dogs are found at the homes of the Chicago Bears, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Los Angeles Chargers, and Los Angeles Rams games at $8 per hot dog. The Atlanta Falcons are home to the cheapest hot dog at $2. While concession prices range across stadiums, our survey found the average NFL fan is willing to spend $10 on a beer and $7 on a hot dog.
Whether fans prefer to go to their favorite team’s stadium or plan to enjoy a game from their couch, these insights can help NFL fans budget for their ultimate game day experience, making sure they can cheer on their team without breaking the bank.
“At the stadium, be mindful of where you spend so you don’t overdo it,” Sandberg said. “I recommend going to the stadium’s website and planning out most or all of your dining and drinking. It removes the crowd-based confusion and you will know in advance how much it will cost you.”
Methodology
To determine the cost of an NFL game-day experience, we analyzed data from Team Marketing Report’s Fan Cost Index on each NFL stadium’s general tickets, beer, hot dogs, and parking costs.
In July 2024, we surveyed 804 self-reported NFL fans about their plans to attend NFL games and the costs associated with attending. Participants’ ages ranged from 18 to 80, with an average age of 41. Respondents were 50% men, 49% women, and 1% nonbinary and/or chose not to disclose.
