To increase the credit limit on your Citi card account, you have a few options available for quick and easy service. We’ve outlined the steps to request a higher limit from your Citibank credit card login page, choose a new credit card, or find out more information about credit limits. If you’re ready to jump ahead, use the links below:
Contact Citi | Choose a New Card | 6 Expert Tips
1. Contact Citi by Phone or Log Into Your Online Account
As a cardholder, you can call Citi’s Customer Service department at 1-888-248-4226 or log into your online account and easily increase your credit limit.

Request a credit limit increase online from the Citibank credit card login page for your account.
When you log in to your Citi account, click on “Services” and select “Card Services.” You can then choose either a Temporary Credit Limit Increase or Permanent Credit Limit Increase. You’ll need to provide your card number, desired credit limit, effective date, and reason for the increase. When you’re done, click “Next” to finish applying. Temporary increases to credit limit on Citi cards last up to 60 days from the date of approval.
If you don’t already have an online account with Citi, you can click on the gray “Register” button to sign up. For your Citi card login, you’ll need your credit card number, security code, and the last four digits of your social security number.
2. Apply for a New Citibank Credit Card
It could be that your Citi card has a low credit limit because of your credit history, but this doesn’t have to hold you back. As a responsible and longstanding Citi cardholder, you can qualify for another card with a higher credit limit.
