In February of 2017, I purchased a home that is considerably larger than the one I’d recently sold. As a self-proclaimed tech-geek, my first concern was extending a wireless internet signal throughout the home and yard — because who doesn’t need internet access in their yard?

Determined to outfit the house with a Google WiFi system, I took to the web and searched dozens of digital storefronts only to find the product out of stock at each one.

Several resellers offered aftermarket models — most for around three times the suggested retail price. My geekdom wasn’t that strong.

I was close to researching other possibilities when I found Abt. At first glance, the company seemed too good to be true. Not only did Abt have the systems in stock, but they were nearly 10% cheaper than standard in-store prices. After some research, I pulled the trigger on the order.

Three days later, I had my brand-new Google WiFi system streaming a clean internet signal from my back fence to my mailbox and all points in between. I officially jumped aboard the Abt bandwagon that day.

Family-owned Abt is about much more than electronics. The company’s website and 450,000 square-foot storefront in Glenview, Illinois, also offers sales, delivery, and installation of mattresses and furniture, watches and fashion, appliances, and health and fitness gear.

Abt LogoThe storefront also features an in-house Apple Store, Dylan’s Candy Bar, Tumi store, and a soon-to-open Man Cave section that will sell everything a cave dweller could want.

The Abt family has owned the store since it opened in 1936 and still works on the premises today.

“It’s important for us to continue to get the word out about what our capabilities are because they’re quite widespread,” said Brigitte Landis, ABT’s CFO. “We’re constantly expanding and offer mattresses, furniture, HVAC, alarm sales and installation in specific territories.”

With so many purchase options through ABT and ABT.com, flexible financing is needed for families looking to fill their homes with new items.

Offering 12- to 36-Month Financing for Qualified Applicants

Whether in-store or online, the Abt Credit Card, issued through Synchrony Financial, offers flexible terms and payment plans that make anything from replacing your refrigerator to a full room remodel affordable for nearly anyone.

Abt’s Credit Card offers interest-free purchasing options on qualifying purchases.

The company currently has more than 70,000 cardholders. The typical credit line ranges between $4,000 and $5,000, but can extend higher depending on creditworthiness.

The card sports a 29.9% annual interest rate that can be offset by regularly changing special financing offers that give cardholders interest-free purchase opportunities on select items for between 12 and 36 months.

A permanent 24-month financing offer applies to furniture and mattress purchases of $799 or more. Consumers with poor credit have the option of purchasing items through Abt’s Flexshopper Program that offers rent-to-own options with an instant spending limit and weekly payment plans.

Family-Owned & Operated Since 1936

Abt’s fleet of trucks delivers from the Glenview, Ilinois store to homes and businesses within a 70-mile range that extends into Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. If you don’t live in that area, the company’s website offers affordable shipping options to anywhere in the world.

Most domestic packages can be delivered within three days with expedited shipping options available.

Abt’s long history started when Jewel Abt gave her husband David $800 to start a business. Today, that business is still in the family and has 1,400 employees and thousands of customers who depend on the company to deliver the latest in electronics, furniture, and home goods at competitive prices.

The Abt Credit Card’s special financing offers extended interest-free payment options on certain purchases for a period of 12 to 36 months, which makes it easy for anyone to stock up on the latest gadgets and gizmos for their growing home.
